Our Story

Cristina and Jon’s love story began in September 2016 at the University of Delaware. As Jon started his senior year and Cristina her junior year, neither could have predicted the incredible journey that was about to unfold.

During their time at UD, they each formed a close group of friends. As fate would have it, mutual friends brought these two groups together for the first time to celebrate Jon's birthday.

To break the ice and kick-off the birthday festivities, Jon and his friends started a game of flip cup. Since it was Cristina's favorite game—and one they still enjoy playing together while tailgating Philly sporting events—she eagerly joined in!

As the night continued, Cristina and Jon enjoyed effortless conversation, neither wanting the evening to end. When it came time to part ways, Jon asked if he could see Cristina again the next night. She happily said yes, and they have been inseparable ever since.

In 2020, Cristina and Jon bought their first home together in Philadelphia. Since then, they have loved exploring the local food scene, attending sporting and theater events, and hosting friends and family.

The Proposal

For nearly seven years, Cristina and Jon enjoyed discovering new things about each other and creating core memories with those they love most. During this time, they forged an unbreakable bond, and it became clear their love would last a lifetime.

On July 27, 2023, Jon proposed to Cristina on the roof deck of their home, one of their favorite spots to spend quality time together while overlooking the Philadelphia skyline. They celebrated this milestone with family, friends, and plenty of bubbly, and have since been excitedly planning their special day.

Accommodations

The Logan Hotel

We have arranged a hotel block for our guests at The Logan Hotel. We encourage you to book your accommodations as soon as possible to secure our special rate.

Other Accommodations

While we have arranged a room block at The Logan, we understand that preferences vary, and alternative options may better suit your needs. To maintain close proximity to our festivities, we encourage our guests to browse other hotel, Airbnb, and VRBO options in the Center City/Rittenhouse area.

Transportation

Cescaphe Trolley

To ensure our guests arrive on time for the ceremony, we have arranged a trolley that will make two trips from The Logan to Water Works. Please plan to catch one of these trips, as additional rides will not be available.

After the reception, the trolley will provide continuous service, offering two options: You can either head back to The Logan or join us at City Tap for the after party. We'd love for you to celebrate with us at City Tap, but we understand if you'd prefer to turn-in for the night.

City Tap is just a short walk from The Logan. If you choose to attend the after party, you will be able to easily walk back to the hotel at your convenience.

Other Transportation

In addition to the trolley, we understand that some may prefer alternative transportation options. Therefore, Uber/Lyft rides are an option for those who wish to travel independently.

For those who choose to drive, valet parking will be available at the venue for your convenience.

Questions?

How do I RSVP?
When your formal invitation arrives closer to the wedding date, it will include instructions on how to RSVP using this website.

Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, we want you to enjoy a child-free night. However, if your children are invited, their names will appear alongside yours on your invitation.

Can I bring a plus one?
If your invitation specifically indicates that you are invited with a guest, then you are more than welcome to bring one!

Is the wedding venue indoor or outdoor?
Our venue is a hybrid indoor/outdoor space along the water. The ceremony will take place under a grand pavilion, cocktail hour is indoors with access to a spacious balcony, and the reception will be held in a temperature-controlled open-air tent.

Do I need to provide warning about my dietary restrictions?
No advanced notice for dietary restrictions is required. The venue can accommodate any food allergies and aversions when being seated for dinner.

If you have any additional questions about our wedding weekend, please feel free to contact us directly!
